July 2, 2019: A refurbished Peacekeeper booster launches a mock-up Orion capsule from Space Launch Complex 46 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 7:00 A.M. EDT. This test, named Ascent Abort 2, verified the Orion launch abort system’s ability to safely abort during a future SLS launch.
