Starship Flight Test
April 20, 2023, at 8:33 a.m. — SpaceX's Starship launches on its first fully-integrated flight test from the orbital launch pad at Starbase in Texas. Starship and its Super Heavy booster reached an apogee of 39km, suffering multiple engines out during ascent and tumbling in loops — remaining intact — before the vehicle’s flight termination system explosively ended the flight. With this launch, Starship became the most powerful rocket in history, setting the stage for further flight tests ahead of operational launches with payloads and future flights to the Moon and Mars.
